THE PURPOSE
We are offering this chance to apply for a "Lecktronix Pick" for many reasons. First and foremost we believe that hard working individuals should have some sort of compensation (other than monetary) for their works. These awards are not intended for -QUOTE-Professionals-END QUOTE. They are for folks just like you and me that do Web Design for the fun and as a hobby. While my background is that of an Electronics Technician with a 2 year in Commercial Art, my small Web Design business is no longer. Lecktronix Web Design was once housed on this very domain and was disbanned for personal reasons ( I needed to be a Father and Husband again !) The Autograph on the ball is mine !!! Chris Leckness !!! I am sending the winners this electronic copy of my coveted signature for you to display proudly. ( No I am not gonna play Major Leagues someday.... I am too old ! )

THE CRITERIA
The Rules are pretty simple. The 1st rule that applies to all 3 levels, is that WE MUST LIKE IT ! I know this sounds very biased, but if we click on your site and don't like what we see, we probaly will not go any further. These awards are not the toughest, but it is no freebie either... I am sure some of the applicants will be a far better designer than myself or my partner, but we can recognize talent when we see it. The Gold, Silver, or Bronze Awards will be given ( or not given ) based upon how well the site measures up to the following requirements: - Must be a family safe site. No pornography, profanity, racism, or any other offensive sites will be accepted.
- Must have reasonable loading time. Sites that take too long to load will be disqualified right away.
- Must have some unique content. This may not apply to some types of sites. For instance, Lecktronix.com has no true content-mostly links....but we would consider it for an award.
- Must have original graphics. This is important, but it will not disqualify you if you use public domain graphics or images from paid for CD's. Copyright acknowledgement if using others copyrighted work.
- Must be in English.
- Must not have Javascript errors or Bad Links.
- Must not be a collection banners.
- Applicants should be 14 Years or older. By applying you are stating that you are of this age.
All sites will be visited & reviewed within a week or two.
We will notify the winners by email. If you don't hear from us, try again later. We want to get you an award but this means that your site did not quite make it into one of the 3 categories. If you do not here from us within 2 weeks and would like to know why we did not select your site, email us @ webmaster@lecktronix.com . |
