TURNING MY BACKSIDE ON BASEBALL
I have always been a HUGE baseball fan. I grew up watching Dale Murphy, Mike Schmidt, and Nolan Ryan. I never heard about these class acts begging for more money. The played the game, well I may add, and went home. I have been an Atlanta Braves fan for as long as I remember. Hey - Alabama has nothing else ... so most of us are instant Atlanta Fans.

After the strike in 1994, I was glad to have baseball back. I was younger and not too wise. When someone would tell me how ridiculous and selfish the players were, I would normally take up for the players. " They just want the money the owners are raking in off of their talents", I would say. Well I am waking up now - after seeing that Jeter is hunting a 10 year - 190 Million dollar contract. That was the final straw that prompted me to put this site together and show MLB Players and Owners what we think of their selfishness.

Having this website online is not going to show them anything really, But sharing the goal of a complete BOYCOTT on June 30, 2001 may get their attention. I sincerly believe that if enough people see this site and share the goal with their friends, we can leave a noticable impression to the League Office. I know you are asking yourself : " hey ... can I make a difference ?" Your darn right you can ... Don't attend or watch any MLB game on June 30, 2001 yourself. Tell Friends not to do it either. If your friends tell their other friends ... this idea will spread like a wildfire and we should get the Leagues attention. So .. PLEASE DO NOT WATCH MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL ON JUNE 30, 2001 ...Not that I, a middle income man with a wife and daughter, can afford to go to many games anyway. If you do well on this one day .... hey maybe you can kick it altogether and boycott MLB for good. ( I know it will be hard for me ).

Who really deserves $25 Million dollars a year ?
A Baseball Player ? - NOPE
A Team Owner ? - NOPE
A Doctor ? - Naw ... important but not worth $25 Mil
A Teacher ? Yeah ... Well not really, but more deserving than AROD.....

NOBODY NEEDS OR DESERVES THAT KIND OF SALARY ? Come'on People !
No Disrespect to these High Paid Athletes, but dead-gum .... When will it end ?
